Александр Шатулин: The 156th NKVD industrial guards Regiment was raised in the june 1941 from the independent battalion and has been included in the 69th NKVD brigade. The Regts Commander was major S. F. Zubkov. The regiment participated in the defence of Tula in october and november, 1941. Shortly after the regiment's strenght was near 1370 men armed with rifles, 107 light and 54 heavy machine-guns. Tula defenders from 156th Regt (major S. F.
