Александр Шатулин: To find original it is impossible. I saw some replicas, but sometime of poor quality. We want to produce them ourselves, but for this purpose it is necessary to have buckles and high-powered sewing-machine.
Rob: I shall speak to my colleague and see what he suggests - he's very good at making things - he can even make the early 'bottle' pattern NKVD pogoni - and he also makes ushankas that almost look like original ones.
Тов.Рязанцев: This "suspenders" was prodused for used with 1936 pattern rucksack. When full rifleman equipment was weared, the sling was suspended by the rucksack's straps and hooks, when rucksack was not used (so-called "storm" equipment - w/o rucksack), sling with all (very heavy) equipment on it was suspend by such suspenders. To the beginning of war 1936 pattern of equipment was mostly reduced by the 1941 pattern in the newly existed divisions, and stay only in old units, most of wich was deleted in the first monthes of war. So, it is a rare thing....
