Rob: You guys look amazing there! Do you portray a specific regiment of the NKVD?
Александр Шатулин: No, this depends on the event's scenario.
Rob: Yes, that is the best way. Apart from reconstructions of battles, do you build a camp for the public to see? What we do at events is set up a camp using plash-palatki to make two man tents, and we cook food for ourselves, and the public can come and talk to us. We explain what the Red Army did, and show them the weapons and equipment that they used. Cooking food... (I have removed those 'eggs' I should add! ) Our NKVD post - you can see us trying to stop the tent from blowing away! That particular event was extremely wet and muddy!
